ATS FAQ

How the ATS score works

What it measures, what a good score means, and how we keep your resume private.

An Applicant Tracking System is the software that screens resumes before a human ever sees them — 95%+ of Fortune 500 companies use one. They reject resumes for formatting quirks (tables, columns, images, text in headers) and missing keywords. A high ATS score means your resume will survive this first filter.

We simulate how major ATS platforms (Greenhouse, Lever, Workday, iCIMS, Taleo) parse your resume. We check structural integrity, font rendering, keyword density, section detection, and contact-info extraction. The 0–100 score reflects how cleanly each of those tools would read your file.

No tool can guarantee interviews — they depend on you, your experience, and the market. But a high ATS score is the minimum bar to even be seen: the Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates 70–75% of submitted resumes never reach a recruiter because of ATS filters. Fix this and you're in the game.
